2 hours and 38 minutes to game time
Stay tuned to the blog as we get close to game time.  When I see who is warming up for Byrnes, then we will know for sure who is getting the start. Make sure that you refresh the blog often to see updates as we progress through the game.
This just in- a very reliable source has said that Gossett will not start tonight.
We are talking about pitchers here, but I think thats a wash in this game because of the talent they both possess. What this will come down to is the weakest link in the line up or defensively.  It will probably be who capitalizes when runners are in scoring position.  If they leave them on base tonight, they will walk away in second place.
Montgomery has proven his dominance time and time again this year. Whether the Rebels are ready to swing it or not I feel like Jordan will be ready for the challenge.

It is hard to pick a winner in this contest because if you roll down the lineups and through the rotations each team has what it takes and both are full of talent and prospects.

All I can say is that 6:00 can't get here any sooner (closing time for my office)
Sumter has hit Gossett on monday and are probably feeling good about their chances against him tonight.  I expect to see a different approach from him though which could silence those bats.  Also on Monday, Byrnes had no answer for Montgomery.  If they have figured him out, they could come out of the shoot tonight offensively.  Byrnes bats haven't been rolling in this series and I don't think that will continue.  When was the last time they had a three game stretch where they didn't hit?  Hasn't happened recently so I expect that very talented line up to produce at the plate tonight.  This will be a very different game than the first.
I see "free" baseball in the future.
Tonight is the night for these two teams to decide who goes home a champion and who goes home in second place. In the end, each team is going with their ace and they won't disappoint.  This game will come down to one run late in the contest, thats my prediction.  It could be a low scoring affair or high scoring, but it will be close.
